Church vision and purpose:

Our purpose is simple to love God to love one another and to make disciples of Jesus.

Accountable to:

First to God then to his word and then the Eldership.

Qualifications:

1: Someone who passionately loves his Lord and his people and is able to disciple all ages.

2: A college graduate from a restoration movement college and has been ordained and has served in a restoration church.

3: Meets the biblical requirements of an elder and has been called into full time ministry.

4: Computer proficient can relate to and participate in social media in a manner that uplifts God's Kingdom.

Responsibilities:

Preaching and Worship:

1: Preach sermons during regular assemblies that are biblical, engaging and relevant. Seeking to deepen the congregation's relationship with Jesus Christ that helps them into an active discipling life.

2: Work in conjunction with the worship leader and team to ensure that worship services are affective regarding style structure, design and content.

Duties:

1: Prepares preaching and worship schedule in advance alongside the worship leader.

Leadership development and discipleship:

1: Leads the congregation by his example and his teaching the word.

2: Lead an adult Sunday school class and a small group during the mid-week.

3: Works with the eldership to set vision for Northeast Christian Church.

4: Will oversee the men's ministry at NCC and will work to develop new leadership and strengthen existing leadership of the church.

Outreach community engagement:

1: Personally lives out the Great Commission inside our community.

2: Equips, motivates and inspires the congregation to share the gospel with the community and others within reach.

Congregational relations pastoral care:

1: Develops a relational connection to the congregation and provides pastoral support and care along with partnership of the elders

2: Prays. serves and provides spiritual leadership for the congregation.

Duties:

1: Looks after the spiritual and physical life of the congregation through supportive listening, short-term counseling and conflict management possible referral to professionals.

2: Perform weddings and funerals for members in Northeast Christian Church and those that are approved by the eldership.

3: Meet with all ministry groups in the church at least once a year to make sure the group has what it needs to fulfill its ministries.

4: Carryout hospital visitation and ministry to those that are shut in with visitation, a phone call alongside eldership.

Professional development/ Personal growth:

1: Spend regular time in prayer and studying God's word.

2: Growing through reading of books, attending seminars and taking courses to improve his base of knowledge and walk with the Lord.

3: Participates in self-evaluation as well as yearly evaluation by elders.

Administration

1: Will coordinate office procedures, day to day operation including oversight of secretarial staff.

2: Works within the administrative budget and maintains a physical responsibility with the church’s resources.

3: Maintains office hours during the week and coordinates scheduled day off.

4: Overseas website and Facebook account.

Compensation and benefits:

1: Salary will be based on education and experience.
