Christian Church of Gillette, WY is looking for a lead minister. Our previous minister retired at the end of 2018. He was with us for six years.
Gillette, a city of about 32,000, is located in the northeast corner of Wyoming on I-90. Our economy is based on mining. We have one of the top 100 Rural Hospitals in the country rated by the National Rural Health Association. We have a very good public school system and a high quality Christian school. Gillette is situated 1 1/2 miles from the Black Hills and about 1 hour from the Big Horn Mountains. The community supports many athletic events for all ages.
Christian Church of Gillette averages between 40 and 50 with elders in place. Six years ago, the average attendance was in the teens. Gillette Christian Church is a revitalization work making strides to move ahead. The congregation supports national and foreign missions endeavors. Members of the congregation are actively involved in work with the Women's Resource Center and the local hospital.
A lead minister’s job will focus on preaching/teaching, leadership in outreach to younger families and day-to-day work with existing ministries. We are looking for a man of prayer. He must be a graduate of a Bible college from the Restoration Movement and have 3-5 years of experience. The applicant must be a team player and one dedicated to a long-term ministry.
