Summary
A full-time faculty position in Church Music. The School of Music at Kentucky Christian University services students who pursue careers in music education, music performance, music business, and church music (worship).

Qualification Standards
Education Graduate degree in Church Music, Worship, or equivalent; doctoral work preferred
Experience 3-5 years experience as a full-time music minister (preferred).

Conditions of Employment
1. Full-time position on a nine-month contract.

4. All full-time KCU faculty are required to be active member of a congregation in the Stone-Campbell tradition (e.g. Christian Church/Church of Christ/Disciples of Christ).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate courses in church music and worship, and overseeing music ministry internships. Must be qualified/ capable of conducting either choral or instrumental ensembles and teaching private lessons in voice or instrumental music as well. The needs of the Worship Arts program, as well as the expertise among the music faculty, will determine the exact duties assigned to the successful candidate.
2. Serve on two committees.
3. Participation in faculty meetings
4. Full-time faculty are expected and supported to continue their own professional development as teachers in their discipline.
5. Encouraged to be actively involved with students outside of the classroom in spiritual as well as academic and social activities.
6. The faculty member will have a passion for the integration of Christian faith and music in his/her teaching.
7. Maintain and comply with all policies, rules, and regulations included in the KCU Staff handbook and Faculty handbook.
