Twin Oaks is a grace-driven, growing church of 750 on the southern edge of the Detroit metro area. Woodhaven is a nice suburb with good schools. We currently run 50-60 kids each week between the middle school and high school groups. The current guy has done a great job of developing a healthy, well-rounded ministry, but there is tons of potential for growth in every area. You'd have a very supportive eldership and staff who value youth ministry and and don't want to micromanage it for you. We want to hire a guy who has a vision we agree with and then set him free to pursue it. The youth group currently meets in our gym/worship center but we hope to build a $1 million youth center as soon as credit loosens up. We attend MOVE in Holland, MI and Believe in Cincinnati. Last year the youth did a missions trip in Honduras and there is an all ages trip to Rapha House in Cambodia each year as well as other missions trips. For a sports fan, Lions, Tigers, and Pistons tickets are easy to come by lately. There is a good youth pastor network in the southern suburbs (our drawing area has around 500,000 people) and they cooperate on joint worship and outreaches a few times a year. Housing is also cheap for a guy who wants to get into a housing market. Lots of boating and fishing and hunting in the area if you like that. We're 30 minutes from Ohio so the winters aren't that bad :)
